ShoutShot Privacy Policy

ShoutShot (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is currently operated by Nikki Taylor and Tim Taylor. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to our website at shoutshot.com and to information we collect when you sign up through our ads on third-party platforms such as TikTok and Meta.

ShoutShot is a pre-launch platform. Right now, we are building a waitlist of businesses and consumers who want to be notified when we go live. This policy reflects what we do today and will be updated as the platform launches.

Who we are

ShoutShot is a business advertising and discovery platform being built by Nikki Taylor and Tim Taylor. We are not yet a registered company. Until we form a business entity, Nikki Taylor and Tim Taylor are the people responsible for the information collected through ShoutShot, and we are your point of contact for any privacy questions or requests.

What information we collect

We only collect information you choose to give us, plus limited automatic information described below.

Information you give us directly:

• When you join our waitlist on shoutshot.com — if you sign up as a business, we collect your name, business name, and email address. If you sign up as a consumer/shopper, we collect your name and email address.
• When you sign up through an ad — if you submit one of our lead forms on a platform like TikTok or Meta, that platform collects your name and email address and shares it with us so we can add you to our waitlist and notify you when we launch. The platform’s own privacy policy also applies to information collected inside their app (see “Third-party platforms” below). This Privacy Policy governs how we collect, use, and process the information you provide through lead-generation forms on platforms like TikTok and Meta.
• When you contact us — if you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include in your message.

Information collected automatically when you visit shoutshot.com:

• Meta Pixel. Our website uses the Meta (Facebook) Pixel, a piece of tracking technology provided by Meta Platforms, Inc. It collects information about your visit — such as pages viewed and actions taken — and shares it with Meta. We use this to understand how visitors interact with our site and to measure advertising. Meta may use this information according to its own privacy policy. You can learn more and manage your preferences at Meta’s privacy center, and you can opt out of much of this tracking using standard browser tools or ad blockers.
• Standard technical information. Like most websites, our hosting and infrastructure providers automatically receive basic technical data such as your IP address, browser type, device information, and general location. This is standard for operating a website securely.

We do not currently collect payment information. When we launch paid memberships, payments will be handled by a third-party payment processor (Stripe), and this policy will be updated to reflect that.

How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

• Add you to our waitlist and notify you when ShoutShot launches in your area or opens to businesses.
• Send you updates about ShoutShot, including founding-member information and launch news.
• Respond to your questions and provide support.
• Understand how people find and use our site so we can improve it.
• Measure and improve our advertising.
• Protect ShoutShot against fraud, abuse, and security threats.

We do not sell your personal information.

How we share your information

We do not sell your information, and we share it only in these limited ways:

• Service providers who help us operate. We use trusted third-party companies to run ShoutShot. They only receive the information they need to perform their function, and they are not permitted to use it for their own purposes. These include:
  • Vercel — website hosting
  • Supabase — secure database storage for waitlist and account information
  • Resend — sending emails (such as your welcome email and launch notifications)
  • Cloudflare — video hosting and delivery, and website security
  • Meta — advertising and the Meta Pixel (as described above)
• Advertising platforms. When you sign up through an ad on a platform like TikTok or Meta, that platform is involved in collecting and transmitting your information to us.
• Legal reasons. We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of ShoutShot, our users, or others.
• Business changes. If ShoutShot is ever sold, merged, or transferred to another owner, your information may be transferred as part of that change. We would notify you of any such change that affects your information.

Third-party platforms (TikTok, Meta, and others)

When you interact with our ads or lead forms on platforms like TikTok or Meta, those platforms collect information according to their own privacy policies, which we do not control. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any platform you use:

• TikTok’s Privacy Policy is available on TikTok’s website.
• Meta’s Privacy Policy is available on Meta’s website.

Once your information is shared with us through one of these platforms, our handling of it is governed by this Privacy Policy.

Links to businesses’ own sites

Businesses on ShoutShot may include their own links inviting you to sign up for their newsletters, offers, or services. Any information you provide through those links goes directly to that business and is governed by that business’s own privacy policy — ShoutShot does not collect, store, or have access to it.

Email and your choices

• Unsubscribing. Every marketing email we send includes an unsubscribe link. You can opt out at any time, and we will stop sending you marketing emails. You may still receive essential messages related to a request you made.
• Accessing, correcting, or deleting your information. You can ask us what personal information we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email shoutshotsocial@gmail.com and we will respond within a reasonable time.
• Cookies and tracking. You can use your browser settings, privacy modes, and ad-blocking tools to limit cookies and tracking pixels, including the Meta Pixel.

How long we keep your information

We keep your waitlist and contact information for as long as we need it to notify you about ShoutShot and operate the platform, or until you ask us to delete it. If you unsubscribe or request deletion, we will remove your information from our active systems, except where we need to keep limited records to comply with the law or resolve disputes.

Children

ShoutShot is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18 years of age. If you believe someone under 18 has given us their information, please contact us at shoutshotsocial@gmail.com and we will delete it.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information, including using established service providers with their own security practices. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as ShoutShot grows and changes — particularly when we launch paid memberships and the full platform. When we make significant changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top and, where appropriate, notify you.
